The Pink Cadillac
Are you looking for to start a business with Mary Kay and reading as many Mary Kay reviews as you can?
Good for you!
Doing your research on a company before getting involved is a very important and often overlooked step. Some people just dive right in and they are not really sure what they are getting into.
This Mary Kay review cover a brief overview of the company, how you make money, and how you can get started.
If you are a current Mary Kay consultant, then check out my other article on how to be successful Mary Kay consultants.
*Disclaimer: I am not a Mary Kay consultant and I am completely positive towards it as a company.
Mary Kay Reviews – Company
In 1963 the cosmetics company Mary Kay was founded. When Mary Kay Ash started the company Mary Kay, she not only gave women the opportunity to earn a stable income and still have time to tend to their families as well as other obligations but she gave women something they enjoy at the same time.
After pressure from animal rights groups, the company was among the first in its industry to sign the PETA pledge and no longer use animal testing with its products.
The primary manufacturing plant is in Dallas, Texas. A second plant was opened in China and a third in Switzerland, but later closed in 2003.
The company did $2.5 BILLION is sales worldwide, in 2010, from the efforts of about 2 million consultants.
Mary Kay Reviews – Consultants
As a Mary Kay consultant, your business is based on your schedule, whether you be a stay at home mom or a young women going through college you can set your own schedule to earn the income that you desire.
You also get to sell products that not only you enjoy, including make up and facial products, but products that make girls and women feel better about themselves. You also are given the opportunity to make life long friends.
As a consultant, you should be focusing on what I call, income producing activities (IPA’s) which include, having parties where you invite a lot of women over and do product demonstrations and show them how great the products are.
If they find value in the products, they will buy them from you at regular price and you make a certain percentage because you get those products at wholesale prices.
Mary Kay Reviews – Compensation
You can also make money by selling Mary Kay starter kits to other women interested in starting their own business and the you will earn a percentage of their sales as well.
The best way to make a lot of money, is to do both of these activities. Sell products yourself and build a large downline and leverage the work of other people.
Something the other Mary Kay reviews might not tell you is that you need to stick with the company for a minimum of one year if you expect to see life changing income. This is not just with Mary Kay, but with any network marketing company.
This business takes dedication and patience. That dedication and patience will payoff and if you become a top independent sales director, you will be rewarded the coveted pink Cadillac (as seen at the beginning of this post).
Mary Kay Reviews – Get Started As A Consultant
First off, contact one of your local Mary Kay consultants (like I said earlier, I am NOT a Mary Kay consultant) and schedule an appointment to learn about the business.
After the appointment you can choose to become a consultant. You will pay a start-up fee of about $100 but that comes with a starter kit full of samples and other tools you need to get your business started.
After that any other products you need, you can purchase at wholesale prices. You can either keep plenty in stock or purchase them as needed.
After you have made the commitment you just have to use every reliable resource to promote yourself the best way that you can in order to build up your clientele and keep your business growing strong.
The network marketing industry is by far the best and out of all the Mary Kay reviews out there, I hope you found this one the best.
